Unmarked Routes
Sine Sign (working title) is the debut recording for Unmarked Routes and is due for release April 1, 2025. It was recorded at the amazing Guilford Sound studio in Vermont (USA) and features 13 (maybe more) original compositions in which Matt and his cadre of musicians beautifully merge a string quartet, woodwinds, and grand piano with synthesizer atmospheres and experimental electronics to create a sound that is at once subtle and contemplative yet expansive, rhythmic and hypnotic with a stunning level of personality and emotion.

Joining Matt in the studio were these amazing musicians: Catherine Bent (cello), Bengisu Gokce (violin/viola), Stan Strickland (woodwinds/voice) and engineer John Escobar. The ensemble had an awesome total immersion experience - great music, great meals, amazing nature, unreal studio!

Until the recording is finished, you can hear some of the music in the VIDEO section of the site.
